A travel insurance start-up, Koala tracks all journeys in real-time, informing insured passengers as disruption occurs and issuing immediate compensation, whatever the cause of the delay.

As well as an enhanced customer experience, Koala greatly reduces the considerable administrative burden of claims processing for travel companies. Koala has already been incorporated into the booking journeys of several airlines and travel agencies.

Our first French investment and second Insurtech deal, Avonmore invested into Koala Insurance’s 2020 €1.6m seed round alongside London-based Insurtech Gateway, Playfair Capital and Techstars Ventures.We invested further in their €2M round annouced in March 2023.
